Antalya Bareboat Charter: Sailing Yachts Without a Skipper
Two sailing yachts handed over bareboat at Kemer Marina: the Bavaria Cruiser 41 (12.4 m, three cabins, eight guests, 9,500 TL a day) and the Beneteau Oceanis 46 (14.1 m, four cabins, ten guests, 12,000 TL). One valid certificate on board and the yacht is yours for the week.
Bareboat means you take the yacht out yourselves, with no skipper and no crew aboard, and both of ALUA's bareboat sailing yachts are handed over at Kemer Marina. The Bavaria Cruiser 41 is a 2021 boat: 12.4 metres, three cabins, eight guests, 9,500 TL a day or 55,000 TL a week. The Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 dates from 2022 and is 14.1 metres with four cabins and ten guests, at 12,000 TL a day or 70,000 TL a week. Nothing else in the fleet you can sleep aboard costs less per day.
One person on board must hold a valid Amatör Denizci Belgesi — the Turkish recreational skipper's licence — or an accepted international equivalent such as an ICC or an RYA Day Skipper certificate. The document is checked at the marina when the yacht is handed over, not when you book, and after the check comes a briefing of about an hour: engine, electrics, water and holding tanks, reefing, the anchor windlass and the inventory. A refundable deposit is taken at the same time and released when the yacht comes back undamaged.

Where you can get to from Kemer
Kemer Marina is on Deniz Caddesi, about 45 kilometres down the coast from the centre of Antalya, and it is the closest exit in the fleet to the sailing worth having. Phaselis is a short first hop, under an hour out of the harbour, with the Üç Adalar just beyond it. Adrasan and Suluada make a long day of roughly 25 nautical miles, five to six hours in the usual breeze. Three days takes in Phaselis, then Adrasan or Suluada, then the Olimpos and Çıralı shore.
Wind, and when to be where
Mornings in the gulf are usually flat, which is why most crews motor the first hour and plan long legs early. The sea breeze fills in after midday at 10 to 15 knots and the swell builds through the afternoon, easing again towards evening: predictable sailing for a 12 to 14-metre yacht, and the reason to be at your anchorage before the chop. The season runs May to October, and the water is about 24°C in June, 28°C in August and 25°C in October.
Three cabins or four, and what the rate buys
The Bavaria Cruiser 41 takes eight guests in three cabins and the Oceanis 46 ten in four, so a crew of six to eight is comfortable on either with a cabin left for gear. The rate covers the yacht, its insurance, the clean before handover, lifejackets and safety equipment. Fuel is billed on use, which over a sailing week is modest; harbour and mooring fees away from Kemer, food and drink and any water-sports gear are yours to pay.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is an Amatör Denizci Belgesi enough to charter bareboat?
+
Yes. A valid Amatör Denizci Belgesi covers both yachts, and so does an accepted international equivalent such as an ICC or an RYA Day Skipper certificate. Only one person on board needs it, not everyone. Bring the original document and your passport to Kemer Marina, because the licence is checked at the pontoon and the yacht is not released without it.
What actually happens at the handover?
+
Three things, and together they take about an hour. Your certificate and ID are checked, the yacht is walked through with you — engine, sails and reefing, electrics, water, gas, the anchor windlass and the inventory — and the refundable deposit is taken. Handovers are usually in the morning, so you can clear the harbour and still reach a first anchorage the same day.
Nobody in our group holds a certificate. Can we still take these yachts?
+
Not bareboat: without a valid licence on board, neither the Bavaria Cruiser 41 nor the Beneteau Oceanis 46 can leave Kemer Marina. ALUA does charter boats with a skipper, so the practical answer is to ring the office on +90 242 811 25 82 with your dates and group size and we will put you on a skippered boat instead.
What does a bareboat week cost?
+
55,000 TL for the Bavaria Cruiser 41 and 70,000 TL for the Beneteau Oceanis 46 — roughly six days' money for seven days aboard, given daily rates of 9,500 and 12,000 TL. Split eight ways, the Bavaria works out at under 7,000 TL a person for the week. Fuel, provisioning and mooring fees away from Kemer are on top.
How experienced do we need to be for this coast?
+
Day-skipper handling is enough in season. Legs are short, the shoreline is steep and clean, and the pattern is reliable: calm mornings, 10 to 15 knots of sea breeze from around midday, dropping at dusk. Anchoring is the main skill, since most nights are spent in coves rather than on marina pontoons — Phaselis, Adrasan and the Olimpos shore among them.
Both bareboat yachts lie at Kemer Marina, 45 kilometres from Antalya: 9,500 TL a day for the Bavaria Cruiser 41, 12,000 TL for the Beneteau Oceanis 46, licence checked at the pontoon and an hour's briefing before you go. July and August weekends are taken two to three weeks ahead. Send your dates and certificate details on +90 242 811 25 82 and we will hold the yacht.
