Kemer Marina Yacht Charter and Boat Hire

Every bareboat yacht in the ALUA fleet is handed over here: the Bavaria Cruiser 41 at 9,500 TL a day, the Beneteau Oceanis 46 at 12,000 TL and the catamaran Rüzgar Gülü at 15,000 TL. Kemer Marina is on Deniz Caddesi, +90 242 814 14 90.

Kemer Marina sits on Deniz Caddesi in the middle of Kemer, roughly 45 kilometres down the coast road from the centre of Antalya, and it is where ALUA hands over every boat that goes out without a skipper. Three yachts are based here: the Bavaria Cruiser 41 (12.4 m, three cabins, eight guests), the Beneteau Oceanis 46 (14.1 m, four cabins, ten guests) and the Fountaine Pajot catamaran Rüzgar Gülü (12.2 m, four cabins, eight guests). The marina's own number is +90 242 814 14 90.

The reason to start from Kemer rather than the city is the coast immediately south of it. Phaselis and its ruins are a short first hop, the Üç Adalar lie just beyond, and Adrasan, Suluada and the Olimpos and Çıralı shore all fall inside a three-day loop with legs short enough to swim at both ends of the day. A departure from the city spends its first morning clearing the gulf instead. Daily rates here run from 9,500 to 15,000 TL and weekly rates from 55,000 to 88,000 TL.

A price ladder of three

The Kemer boats are close enough in size to compare directly. The Bavaria Cruiser 41 is the cheapest thing in the fleet with cabins in it: 9,500 TL a day, 55,000 TL a week, eight guests in three cabins. The Oceanis 46 adds a fourth cabin and two more guests for 12,000 TL a day, 70,000 TL a week. Rüzgar Gülü at 15,000 TL a day and 88,000 TL a week carries the same eight as the Bavaria but in four cabins, trading monohull speed for a deck that stays level.

Handover, certificate and deposit

All three leave bareboat, so the procedure at the pontoon is the same for each. One person on board shows a valid Amatör Denizci Belgesi or an accepted international equivalent — an ICC or an RYA Day Skipper certificate — together with a passport. Then comes a walk-through of about an hour covering engine, sails, electrics, water and the inventory, and a refundable deposit. No certificate in the group means no bareboat from Kemer, and the office will put you on a skippered boat elsewhere in the fleet.

Distances from the harbour entrance

Phaselis is a short run south and usually the first anchorage of a three-day trip; the Üç Adalar sit off the same headland. Adrasan and Suluada are about 25 nautical miles, five to six hours of sailing in the ordinary afternoon breeze of 10 to 15 knots, so that leg wants a morning start. Olimpos and Çıralı make the natural third stop before turning back. Flat mornings and a breeze that builds after midday set the shape of every itinerary from here.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to sail from Kemer to Suluada?

+

Reckon on five to six hours for the 25 nautical miles or so, at the speeds these yachts make in a 10 to 15 knot afternoon breeze. Leave early: the morning is flat and often means an hour or two of motoring, but it also gets you in before the swell builds. Many crews break the trip at Adrasan and anchor there for the night.

Are all the boats at Kemer Marina bareboat?

+

Yes. The Bavaria Cruiser 41, the Beneteau Oceanis 46 and Rüzgar Gülü are the three boats ALUA charters without a skipper, and all three are berthed here, which is why Kemer is the address for bareboat enquiries. Each of them needs a valid certificate on board, checked at the pontoon before the yacht is released.

How do we get to Kemer Marina from Antalya?

+

By road along the coast: about 45 kilometres from the centre of Antalya, and a little further from the airport, which lies on the far side of the city. No transfer is included in the charter rate. ALUA hires cars from the same office and the same number, +90 242 811 25 82, if you would rather drive yourselves down.

What can we do in a single day out of Kemer?

+

Phaselis and back is the usual day: a short run south to the ancient harbours, a swim, lunch at anchor and home as the breeze drops. The Üç Adalar just beyond make a second stop if you leave early. Anything further south — Adrasan or Suluada — needs a night away rather than a day charter.

Which boat at Kemer Marina costs least for a week?

+

The Bavaria Cruiser 41, at 55,000 TL for seven days aboard against a daily rate of 9,500 TL, so about six days' money. Eight guests in three cabins puts that under 7,000 TL a person for the week. The Oceanis 46 is 70,000 TL and Rüzgar Gülü 88,000 TL. Fuel, provisioning and mooring fees away from Kemer are extra.

Kemer Marina is the bareboat end of the fleet: three yachts at 9,500 to 15,000 TL a day, Phaselis under an hour out of the harbour and Suluada within a day's sail. Bring the certificate, allow an hour for the handover and you can be at anchor by lunchtime. Check a date on +90 242 811 25 82.
