Kaleiçi Yat Limanı Boat Hire in Central Antalya

Two boats in the old harbour below Kaleiçi: Akdeniz Yıldızı, an 8.5-metre skippered speedboat for eight guests at 6,500 TL a day, and the 24-metre crewed gulet Mavi Rüya, six cabins for twelve, at 28,000 TL a day. Harbour number +90 242 243 28 00.

Kaleiçi Yat Limanı is the old harbour at the foot of the cliff below the historic Kaleiçi quarter, in Selçuk Mahallesi, Muratpaşa — the only berth in the fleet inside the city itself. Guests staying in the old town walk down to the pontoon, so there is no transfer to arrange and no drive out of town before the day begins. Two very different boats lie here: the cheapest charter ALUA offers and the 24-metre gulet that is the second largest boat in the fleet.

Akdeniz Yıldızı is a 2023 Jeanneau Cap Camarat 9.0, 8.5 metres, eight guests, skippered, at 6,500 TL a day or 39,000 TL a week. It has no cabins, so it is a day boat: coves, swimming and evening runs. Mavi Rüya is a Bodrum Tersanesi gulet from 2019, 24 metres, six cabins, twelve guests, with skipper, cook and deck crew inside the 28,000 TL daily rate and 165,000 TL for a week. One harbour, a fourfold difference in price.

What you see from the water here

The run out of this harbour follows the Falez cliffs below the old town, out to the point where the Düden falls drop straight into the sea, which is a sight you can only take in properly from a boat. Mermerli lies immediately beneath the walls, and Sıçan Adası sits west off the Konyaaltı shore for a longer swimming stop. On Akdeniz Yıldızı that amounts to a half-day out; on Mavi Rüya it is the first afternoon of a cruise heading west towards Phaselis.

Sunset departures

Evening charters leave this harbour between about 17:00 and 18:00 and run two to three hours, which is the window when the cliffs and the old town walls take the low western light and the afternoon breeze has dropped back. Akdeniz Yıldızı is the usual boat for it, with up to eight aboard and a skipper included at 6,500 TL. Mavi Rüya covers the same stretch at gulet pace with dinner served on deck, provisioning agreed with the cook beforehand.

A day boat and a boat to sleep on

The two answer different questions. Akdeniz Yıldızı has no cabins, so it is measured in hours rather than days: eight guests, a skipper, anything from a morning to a full day. Mavi Rüya has six cabins and is where a party of twelve sleeps, at 165,000 TL for a week against 28,000 TL a day — six days' money for seven nights. Crew is inside both rates; fuel, harbour fees away from Kaleiçi and food and drink are not.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we walk to the harbour from a hotel in the old town?

+

Usually, yes. Kaleiçi Yat Limanı lies directly below the Kaleiçi quarter in Muratpaşa, which is why guests staying in the old town need no transfer: it is a walk down to the pontoon and back up at the end of the day. Parking nearby is tight, so allow extra time if you are driving. The harbour number is +90 242 243 28 00.

What time do sunset trips leave from Kaleiçi?

+

Between about 17:00 and 18:00, for two to three hours, with the exact hour depending on the month — the season runs May to October and the light goes earlier in September and October. Akdeniz Yıldızı takes eight guests with a skipper at 6,500 TL; Mavi Rüya can cover the same hours, though a 24-metre gulet is usually taken for longer.

Which is the cheapest boat you charter?

+

Akdeniz Yıldızı at 6,500 TL a day, and it goes from this harbour. It is a 2023 Jeanneau Cap Camarat 9.0 of 8.5 metres for eight guests, with the skipper's fee already in the rate. There are no cabins, so plan a day rather than a night; a full week is 39,000 TL if you want the boat repeatedly.

Can you see the Düden falls from the boat?

+

Yes. The lower falls drop over the cliff straight into the sea on the city shore, a short run east of the harbour mouth, and the view from the water is why most day charters here head that way first. The skipper will hold the boat off the fall long enough for photographs, then carry on to Mermerli and Sıçan Adası.

Can we sleep on board at Kaleiçi Yat Limanı?

+

On Mavi Rüya, yes: six cabins for twelve guests, with skipper, cook and deck crew aboard, at 28,000 TL a day or 165,000 TL a week. Akdeniz Yıldızı has no cabins at all and is chartered by the day only. Nights aboard are counted in cabins rather than guest numbers, so twelve on Mavi Rüya means two to a cabin.

One harbour in the middle of Antalya holds the fleet's cheapest boat and its 24-metre gulet on the same pontoon: 6,500 TL a day for eight guests on Akdeniz Yıldızı, 28,000 TL for twelve with full crew on Mavi Rüya. Evening slots in July and August fill first, so call +90 242 811 25 82 with your date.
